I know this is an old sticky, but thought I would add some useful information.
I have recently been trialling some new belts for feeders.
For us the best belts are presently the silicone ones.
They grip the best and also don`t break down in sun light.
Presently we are using 2.62mm x 82.22mm
These were supplied by www.easternseals.co.uk
Silicone 70 FDA O-Rings BS102 to BS178 Cross Section 2.62mm - BS152S70FDA SILICONE70 FDA 82.22 x 2.62mm RED .
Less than 30p a piece plus P&P.

I have also just ordered some more which are 2.62mm x 75.87mm
I will post after i have tested these smaller belts.

I hope this is useful for someone.

Hi Ref  the plastic tape grip problem, I had a lot of this when I first used my RV4s  but I found my problem was a mechanical problem with the feeders please see my earlier post http://electricstuff.co.uk/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=8hd0bj0pcvacm0s7cv6nha1sf3&topic=251.msg1309#msg1309

Can someone tell me what those o-rings are on the nozzles (RVT03, RVT04 and RVT05)?

They are all damaged and the components are no longer properly held.

Dirk

Measuring from what I have to hand, 1mm thick, centre dia 4, 5.5 or maybe 6,  and 10mm
But they're so cheap it's probably worth getting a selection
Might as well order head O-rings and feeder belts while you're at it.

Its been a while, the RV4s has been happily doing its thing ... until today !
I have gradually been accumulating parts to do a bit of an upgrade, but not got round to it
Interesting seeing what has been happening while I've been making boards..  some good stuff going on !

today, half way through a batch of 96 boards, the "O" ring on the nozzle I use for picking up 14pin SOIC decided to disappear completely...
so  it looks like I'll be hand placing the rest.  :-(

Its the nozzle third from left top row..    the smallest with an "O" ring

Ive ordered  1mm Section 2.54mm Bore EPDM

does that sound about right ?

O rings fell off tool 3 and 4 but they still seem to work for me.
