Does anybody know where i can get a replacement FID camera from? Mines seems to have died. All i can get is a light grey image. Any help will be helpful

I seem to remember the part number successfully googling last time I looked out of curiosity and that turned up a webshop of some kind. If that is no longer the case I guess its more tricky but they were at least apparently on the market less than 5 years ago....

Thanks alot, ill do some searching and see what i can find. Typical its working again now but am sure it wont be too long before it gives up all together

Run pretty damn warm IIRC. The video cables plugs are not the most rugged things in the world, could be worth seeing if they would appreciate a little care/resoldering.

It's nothing special technically - just a composite video cam so may be feasible to adapt a small board camera or something else of a similar size, but need to make sure everything is really solidly mounted as the alignment depends on it.
And of course you need to recalibrate if the camera is moved.

Jason

Recalibration: Might be worth putting something under the "home position"
and leaving it there while replacing the camera so that the new camera is
then aligned to get the same picture (both x,y and zoom) of that reference
object.

Mike

Yes - that would be the way to not mess up cal, but bear  in mind it needs to be accurate in both position and rotation, so probably a cross that fills the field of view.
