Hi Guys,  Can you recommend anyone to service and calibrate an RV1S.  I am having issues with the fiducal camera not accuratly calibrating the machine.  It sees both fiducials, but then the subsequent placement has errors, increasing as the head moves towards the right of the bed.

See this thread for a possible contact : http://electricstuff.co.uk/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=ed558d69f17986652b5659d7e73e3e07&topic=145.0

What I usually do when setting up is place a part nearest to each fid, note the offsets (which are usually different for each corner)  and apply the opposite offsets when doing the fid corrections for the board (i.e. set to nominal position then move by the offset) this seems to work pretty well. Any residual consistent errors noticed during placement can be improved by stopping, re-fidding with a slightly different offset and carrying on.
You can't use auto fid correction with this method but IME auto correction can be a fiddle to get the light levels just right, and manual isn't much slower to do.
There is a way to set up a board offsets but AFAIK this is only for the whole board, not teh individual fid positions, which I find are almost always different from each other.
Consensus is that there is probably enough info to figure out how to do a proper calibration but nobody's got around to figuring out the details yet.

Thanks Mike.  What you are describing is similar to how I was overcoming the problem.  It is quite a fiddle though!!  Do you have contact details for the guy in the link?
