For Sale/Wanted, Suppliers / Z Motor
January 19, 2021, 03:06:31 PM
A long shot I know but I don't suppose anyone has any spares for the RV4s, mainly the Z axis motor (Sanyo Denki 103-4510-7040) or has anybody replaced this with an alternative in the past?

I would be grateful for any help or advise on getting this replaced.

Hi Mike

We have tried your fix from the video but still have a simular problem. Do you know what MOSFET you used or can you recomend a MOSFET for us to try?

I have checked everything you have suggested and all seems fine. I have then taken the driver card from a working machine and placed in the faulty machine and everything seems fine. so it does look like the card has failed. I have managed to source a replacemnet driver card from e-bay for $150 and a replacemnet PMM5301 for very cheap, just got a month to wait from them. We are going to try your fix in the meantime to get us going while we wait. Do you remeber what mosfet you used in your repair?

Thanks Mike, we have found out which is the troublesome driver now. I remember reading you had some spares for these at some point? Is that still the case and if so how much would you sell them for?

Hi Mike

I have a very similar sounding problem to what you described. In the control box, which driver card is for which axis? We have 2 machines so can swap driver card to prove that the driver card is at fault but we are unsure as to which diver card is for which axis.

I have done this, works really good. Thanks for posting.

I have also put a LED strip along the metal bar over the middle of the machine, this works really good for inspecting the PCB once built

Thanks for all your replys. We seem to be back up and running as normal now. Not too sure what I have done to fix the problem but it's working again.

Hi

Thanks for your responce.

I did not reinstall windows, just the RV software. I will have a look at device manager in the morning.

Could this be a hardware problem, either in the PC of in the control box?

RV Hardware / PXC2.VXD Error

Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem.

When trying to open RVplace I get the error shown on the picture.

Has anyone seen this error before and anybody have any idea how to fix this?

RV Software / Software Problem - Feeder
November 11, 2015, 09:28:24 AM
Hi,

We had to reinstall the RV place software yesterday as whenever we opened RV place it would crash the computer.

I now have a problem where I have copied the FDR folder from the old install and placed it in the new install but I get then error message in the picture attached.

Anyone seen this problem before of have any idea how to correct this?

Luke

Thanks again. It looks like we do have a problem on the control board. 5v Reg had blown, replaced but still have the problem. Will investigate more tomorrow and will be in touch should we require a new board.

Everything plugged in the right place (we took photos before hand) and secure. We have taken 2 feeders apart and when powered up with 1 feeder PCB everything works fine and powered up with the PCB from the dodgy feeder and we get this locking of the index pin. Therefore there must be a problem on the PCB but we can't work out what we could have to introduce this problem to a feeder that was fine on friday

Thanks for the quick response.

I did suspect it was a standard mod that had been done.

With regards to the pins staying up, they are actually being driven up and held there. I removed power as soon as this happened as I know this is not supposed to happen. Is there any simple fix for this? As I have not really done anything to the PCB, only un plugged the connections and desolder the mod which has all now been remade.
