Title: video capture card
Post by: Greasemonkey on January 16, 2020, 10:36:29 AM
Hi,

Does anyone know much about the video capture card used on the RV?
We bought a couple of machines earlier this year, one of which was spares only but we would like to resurrect it.
The big problem is that the video capture and DSP cards are missing.

Will the RV work with a PCI video capture card or does it need to be an ISA one?

Thank you

The video card is usually an Imagenation PXC-200L - they can be found on eBay. New dsp cards can be bought from wtechnology.co.uk i.e. http://www.wtechnology.co.uk/RVSpares.pdf (http://www.wtechnology.co.uk/RVSpares.pdf),

If you search the forum, you will find this information there already.

Apologies, that sounded a bit grumpy. What I meant to say was that there's a lot of great information on here with a great signal/noise ratio :)

Just to add, Alan said "usually" .....  the RV software is extremely tightly coupled to
the PXC library so there is no *easy* way to swap this out for anything else. (But I am
working on it!)

Saved searches on ebay are handy when looking for very specific things like this. I got my spare capture card at a good price after a few months
