Hi I am wondering where everyone is getting replacement nozzles from as both my machines have broken and worn down nozzles, also how long would you expect them to last.

I think there was someone here with a lathe who made some a while ago - don't recall who. I did look into getting some made but someone sent me a few so never got round to it. I think there a thread somewhere here that may have some costs.
They do last fairly well unless they crash into something.
One way to revive/strengthen them is to drill out and insert part of a stainless dispensing needle.

stainless dispensing needles can be shortened by scoring a line with a (sacrificial) scalpel blade, then snapping, for what it's worth.
Hi Thanks Mike and Steve, I didn't have any dispensing needles so I managed to bore out a 1mm piece of stainless welding rod with 0.6 drill and made a tip for the No 1 nozzle, what I don't understand is that the original tip didn't seem to match the drawings that show the nozzle point at 1mm where as the tips on the machines seemed to finish at around 1.4 mm were they updated?

Have recently been making inquiries about getting some made. I know someone who is making tools for other machines and they don't think they would have a problem making RV ones.
If the price is reasonable (and I don't have prices yet), can you let me know which tools, and how many, you would ideally like? Of course the more we club together the better the price will be.
I'd be in for some of the smaller sizes.
I currently have one of each of the sizes that there are CAD drawings for (that's 5 types) but do I undertand there's a 6th type?
At least one of mine was a homebrew job on a 40yo lathe which could probably be improved!
Ironically my machine decided to smash up a tool 1 today. >:(
Looks like I have one unused one left now. Time to take getting some made more seriously!
I'd also be interested in the smaller ones, especially number 6 (for 0402 parts)
For 0402's I use a tool 1 into which I've inserted part of a stainless dispensing needle to reduce the hole size, to stop part corners getting sucked into the hole. The proper tool 6 is rather fragile
I wonder if 3D printing might now be a viable option?
On a proper machine, not a crappy makerbot obviously - maybe Shapeways?
According to the shapeways website, it might be OK for the larger nozzles:

I did consider 3D printing but not for nozzles more for replacement plastic parts for feeders, back to nozzles I have so far augmented both nozzle 1 with stainless steel but also nozzle 3 as I found the rim for holding the o ring was worn away.
I have included pics, what I do need is the O rings or the sizes for the nozzles including nozzle 5 , my current O ring for nozzle 3 is way oversize so I have made 2 versions 3A takes the only small O ring I have which is 1.7 mm thick and 3B takes the O ring I expect to use which is around 1mm thick by approx. 2.5 id.

Presumably that's for stereolithography?
For the smaller ones it's probably not worth trying to do the centre hole - if the 3D print includes an alignment dimple it would be easy enough to drill it
1mm x 2.4mm ID O rings turned up so Nozzle 3B now looks like this, I have never seen the original plastic version so this is just working from the drawings and guesswork
