Hi Guys,
it looks like the fiducial camera for my RV1s has failed. Does anyone have a recommended suggestion for a replacement camera?
Thanks.
Bear in mind that removing the fid cam will mess up calibration so make sure it isn't something silly like power or cable.
The original (or later version) of cam is still available :

But you may find something like a CCTV bullet camera a lot cheaper.
Another thought I had a while ago, which may also be a good way of sidestepping the whole calibration issue (even if the camera is good) - it should be possible nowadays to get a tiny camera that could be built into a nozzle-shaped enclosure place of the tool.
Thanks for the feedback, It now looks like it is the 9V regulator that is faulty, actually it is damaged. I have ordered a replacement. I will try firing up the cam from an external supply to see if it works.
Regarding the calibration, I agree, but on my machine the calibration of the fid cam is out anyway, so I only use it as a guide.
I really need to get the entire machine calibrated, but like all things never seem to find the time!
I am currently fixing all the little niggles (loose connectors, sticking feeders etc) and will then call in someone to calibrate it. Any recommendations?
