Hello,
I have a problem with a LQFP144 component.
The part is never completely on the camera image and therefore the component is also discarded every time.
What can I do there?

And another problem is that a number of 1206 resistors  be seen as too small.
Sometime with 115MIL and then wrong with 87MIL, all with the OTF camera.

In addition, all 1206 capacitors are detected only from the fixed camera, the OTF gets always errors.

Does anyone have an idea for this?

Regards, Dirk

Mike

QFPs :
Make sure the camera type is set to "automatic" in the CDF, NOT "Force Fixed", which is what you might think is logical.
It should then  image the part on the fixed camera in 4 passes.

This video shows the multi-pass imaging :

As regards other vision fails, tweak the threshold in the CDF ( it may need to be negative) , look at the image to make sure it's got the whole part and not just the section between the pads. Once you get a good image, look at the dims it's actually measured and put these in the nominal size field in the CDF.

Use "Run-Time test" to make iterating this fairly quick.

It is important that you have consistent lighting as the RV can't compensate for ambient light variation. You may want to look at putting more powerful illuminators and stopping the cameras down to make them less sensitive to ambient.

Also make sure the OTF mirror is clean, and that part heights are right, as this determines the focus distance.

Thanks, that works now.

Automatic and changing the threshold (negative) has helped.
I did't have to change the size.

Now only one out of 100 parts is wrong on the nozzle.
